Welcome to Europemobility Network

Entrepreneur Mobility VII led by CSCS confirms its excellence during the meeting with the Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises

The meeting of all the intermediary organizations implementing the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs Programme together with the European Commission (EC) and the Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (EASME) has been held from 18 to 21 September in Brussels.

The event involved EASME along with all the consortia that are part of the programme. During the meeting the European Agency presented numbers and statistics related to Cycle 7 that will be closed officially this coming January 2017.

The analysis of the results highlighted that the consortium Entrepreneurs’ Mobility VII led by CSCS is the first of the 15 involved in Cycle VII in terms of relations carried out with overall 170 successful business exchanges implemented.

The consortium was the first also in the previous cycles confirming the success of its work and the excellence of its partners coming from 10 different countries including:

  • Greece - Asset Tec
  • Spain - Ayuntamiento de Santander
  • Belgium - Voka
  • Sweden - European Minds Sweden
  • Czech Republic - HKCR
  • Austria - IFA
  • Turkey - ATO
  • Romania - Fundatia Danis (FDDM)
  • Netherlands - CYFI

The event also hosted special sessions addressed to all the members of the network and aimed at discussing relevant topics as, for instance, the quality of the activities carried out or the successful procedures to be replicated. That was a very helpful opportunity to share best practices on to the selection of profiles, the management of networks and students, the analysis of the impact of the activities carried out, the dissemination of content and results and the best ways to transfer all the know-how to new or less experienced organizations.

CSCS is also part of the Cycle 8 already launched in February 2016 and once again it coordinates the consortium Entrepreneurs' Mobility VIII, one of the 17 involved in the programme.

In addition, Centro Studi has signed a Framework Partnership Agreement (FPA) which will be launched in February 2017 with a duration of five years. The Agreement will comprise three cycles that will not overlap.

Within the FPA, CSCS will be again the leader of one of the 10 European consortia in charge to implement the programme.

In sight of these great achievements, CSCS is delighted to thank all the partners for the hard work, support, patience and kind cooperation.

As a keynote speaker of the International Conference on Lifelong Learning and Leadership for all, Mr Giovanni Crisonà has presented the principles adopted to identify industrial training future needs and develop the new curricula in the advanced manufacturing sector.

The conference aimed to discuss and debate how the new generation can consistently grow and succeed in the Business, Economic and Education sectors by fully understanding and continually applying Lifelong Leadership concepts and perspectives. In addition, it focused on how to provide equal educational opportunities for citizens.

Liepaja city major

According to the growing interest of the European Union on Lifelong Education, the annual conference brings together every year scholars, researchers, educators, students, professionals and other groups interested in education to share their theoretical knowledge and present their works on lifelong learning, business, economics and leadership in organizations.

The participation in the event and the discussion that follows the presentation of the principles have been very important to set further collaborations with many of the universities represented at the conference.

The International Conference about Technical and Vocational Education and Training has been organized by The Deputy Ministry for Vocational Education and Training in Donostia-San Sebastián on the 15th and 16th of June 2016.

Mastering the future

The objective of the conference was to analyse the Basque Technical and Vocational Education and Training System, as well as to analyse the changes that will take place as a consequence of the implementation of industry 4.0 in the manufacturing processes.

Another important aim of the event was to receive from the European Commission a feedback on the policies and activities organized for the period 2016-2020.

The main point of the conference were the following:

  • Executive and Creative intelligence
  • Technological Evolution and social Change
  • Outcomes of the Vocational Education and Training System in the Basque Country.

The highly interactive event to launch the New Skills Agenda for Europe offered to Capacitybuilders interesting opportunities to network and build partnerships for skills.

The actions of the New Skills Agenda focus on improving the quality and relevance of skills formation, making skills and qualifications more visible and comparable, as well as improving skills intelligence and information for better career choices.

The commitment of Europe in this issue unfortunately faces a number of challenges as e.g.:

– an unacceptably high proportion of Europeans still struggling with reading and writing,

– a 30% of higher education graduates working in jobs which do not need a university qualification,

– too few people with the preparation, mind-sets and competences to set up their own businesses or look for new opportunities.

For this reason the Commission adopted a new and comprehensive Skills Agenda for Europe on 10 June 2016 New Skills Agenda for Europein which ten actions have been proposed to help equip people with better skills.

The launch event gathered an audience from a wide spectrum of employment and education stakeholders and featured high-level speakers from European and international institutions.
